The Revolution: Colorup Digital Printed Tiles

Everyone now is talking about Digital whether is fabrics, gadgets, pictures or even tiles. ‘Digital’ has not just created impact on our life but has become part of our life. Through ongoing market research and technological development, Shreeji Ceramic has added a digital printing process onto ceramic wall tiles in its COLORUP series. With unlimited design possibilities, sharper finishes and high resolution printing, our digital tiles are now becoming ceramic art for the walls.

But what are Colorup Digital Printed Tiles and how they are different from regular screen printed tiles?

Digital printing is a technology in which printing is directly prepared from computer to any material like paper or tile. Through digital printer we can print all kind of pictures on tiles just like ink-jet printers used in homes and offices for printing documents or photos on paper. In our most modern digital printer from KEDA-teckwin, China, ink gets to the deeper curves and edges without compromising on the resolution of printing and it widen the advantage of having tiles that can replace cladding materials such as stone, glass or metal. Whole digital printing is on CMYK color process. Cyan, Magenta, Yellow and Black shortened as CMYK are combined various ways to produce virtually whichever color required to create any image. Where in the traditional screen printing method, one screen is required for each color and so the number of colors gets restricted.

Digital printer takes very little time to setup a new job where screen printers usually need very long time to setting and starting up again. Also digital printing is environmentally friendly process. The digital printer produces less number of wastage between jobs where screen printing process waste hundreds of the tiles of every job to match preset shades and design pattern. Digital print allows printing only few samples at high resolution which isn’t possible in screen printing for shorter production runs. One of the most advantages in digital printing is less variation in color. Colorup Digital Printed Tiles can assure every print is the same and will be the same when you need more of the same print job. Colorup DPT can offers customers who look for Random-patterns with natural tone variation.

We have a huge repository of digital designs across a wide variety of natural materials like marbles, stones, woods as well as textures. Only at Shreeji Ceramic, customised designs can also be developed and manufactured as per the requirements, subject to certain minimum volumes.
