New Year's Message from the Desk of Director: Happy, Healthy, Successful 2012

Today we are meeting the New Year 2012, and today we look into the future with greater confidence. The New Year indicates the beginning of a better tomorrow. From all of us at Shreeji Ceramic, best wishes of this joyous season! We hope this New Year bring happiness and fulfillment to you and your loved ones.

It is only thanks to the munificent and reliable support of friends like you — from every part of India and from around the globe — that we can look back on a productive year. Every company has its own set of challenges and no one can disagree with that during the past year.

We recognize the vast prospective of the ceramic industry in India and we are focused on maintaining a foremost position as a manufacturer of ceramic tiles in India. Our 12 years of practice in this business translate into a deep understanding of the industry dynamics and potential and reinforce our self-reliance in our upcoming success.

We have experienced a phase of unexpected growth in the past twelve years. Our sales in the India have increased from less than one billion square meter in 1999 to about 8.3 billion in 2011-an enhance of over 730%.

Factories based in the Morbi have a benefit of low energy costs, access to expertise and closeness to markets. This proximity enables the India based suppliers to rapidly counter to the market needs. It is my guess that there will be new, well-organized, and cost-competitive factories built by us in the India in the next few years. These will be world class plants and will compete on every basis: quality, design, service, and cost. Our new factory in Morbi is one such example. Its newly installed kiln, for example, can produce two times the output with less consumption and labour than kilns installed a mere 5 years ago.

But there are challenges. The past and predicted expansion of the industry along with the new channel of distribution being developed requires that those of us in the ceramic industry invest in ourselves. We need to educate our employees and ourselves and to keep current on expertises and trends. To stay undeveloped is to fall behind. I urge all of you to stay involved with our associations, support and attend educational opportunities from all sources, and attend trade show, such as Cevisama – Spain. Through these mediums we will all help to grow our industry and to achieve our profit goals.

As head of the Company, I take pride in what we have achieved together through the year 2011, as much as in what each and every one of you have demonstrated and become. I thank all our customers for your fortitude and understanding. As the New Year is drawing near, on behalf of the Company I would sincerely extend my gratitude and give my best regards to all of you and your families.

On behalf of the board and management of Shreeji Ceramic, I wish you all a safe and fulfilled 2012.

ADD SOME COLORS TO YOUR FLOOR – TRY MULTICHARGED TILES

Our Multicharged vitrified tile is one of the advanced technology for vitrified tiles. This technology is brought on a tiles by using dry body stains (color powders) while the tile is being pressed. Thus veins and designs are found right through the tile’s body. In terms we call it random color feeding system. There are no such confines in colors and patterns for making Multicharged Tiles.

We are getting so many enquiries since we broadcast the launching of Multicharged Tiles. Viewers are keen to know why should they pick our Multicharged Tiles and what are the differences between Multicharged Tiles and Soluble Salt Vitrified Tiles? So, here are several advantages of Shreeji Artica’s new product Multicharged Tiles over our elder product Soluble Salt Tiles.
In Soluble Salt Tiles segment, once the vitrified body being pressed from tile press, Liquid oxides are used to print over green ties where Multicharged Tiles are made of dry powders or colors to bring design before the tile is being pressed in press machines.
Soluble Salt Tiles are more absorbent due to its printing method but in case of Multicharged Tiles, direct colored powders are used to get non-absorbent surface.
Most important thing is you cannot expect gigantic design and patterns in S.S. Tiles but Multicharged Tiles can serve you better with roughly unlimited design picks and patterns made with its different kind of manufacturing systems.
After miniature period S.S. Tiles surface may get dull or scratchy even though with nano+ polished technology whereas Multicharged Tiles stay much brighter and shiny for matchless longer time even with rough use.
If you are looking for long time use, I must suggest you to select Multicharged Tiles with much better life span. Soluble Salt Tiles have lesser life span as design keeps diminishing.

Overall, our Multicharged tiles are our decent offering if you are not worrying about price tag and can create more attraction in compare to Soluble Salt Tiles. Symbolizing Shreeji Artica’s brand value – “inspired creative”, our tiles are ideal for the Indian floors with attractive patterns, modern look, unrivalled creation and satisfactory value.

THINK OF YOUR SEGMENT. ADD SOME COLORS TO YOUR FLOOR.

7 billion: Population size and Environmental change

Environment: Healthy Planet, Healthy People

The entire 7 billion population, and those who will follow, depend on the healthiness of our Earth. The supreme challenge of this century is to meet the needs of 7 billion individual now – and the billions to come – while shielding the complicated balance of nature that sustains life.

Demands for water, trees, food and fuels will only increase as world population grows. Human activity has altered every aspect of our planet, including its climate. Shortages of clean water and arable land are already a problem. The resilience of ecosystems – from fisheries to forests – is threatened. Wealthier countries, meanwhile, are consuming resources at a rate that the earth cannot sustain for all humankind. Our collective future depends on rapidly lowering greenhouse gas emissions while reducing excessive consumption. Greater social equity and slower population growth will help make cooperative solutions possible.

More than 17,000 species of plants and animals are at current risk of extinction by habitat loss, invasive species, high consumption rates, pollution and climate change that are not being adequately addressed. The loss of bio mixture reduces human food security, puts remaining species at greater risk of disease and extinction by natural disasters, and reduces possible sources of new medical and scientific breakthroughs.

Every one of us has a unique role and an inescapable calling to help one another and to make the world a better place. Every organization has a responsibility to help solve the problems larger than any one person can tackle alone.

Celebrate Green Diwali 2011

Diwali is meant for new beginnings. Diyas (clay-lamps) glow on the moonless Diwali night indicates the end of darkness, unawareness and the beginning of luminosity that enlightens all.  People are dressed in their best and are often seen with brightly coloured gift packages to be given to friends and relatives. It's Diwali time!

But along with all the celebrations and festivities come the ear bursting blasts and the poisonous smells of crackers that's hangs in the air days before and after Diwali. For most people lighting of firecrackers is show up of Diwali. Brighter the sparkles, louder the noise the greater the thrill!! In fact to many of us, these visual forms of light seem so suitable and most vital when celebrating the 'Festival of Lights'.

But only few people realize that in our progressively more colonized and infected cities, the short-term enjoyment of watching the firecrackers is rapidly replaced by the extreme air pollution caused by these. The poisonous materials used in the firecrackers release toxic gases that are injurious to the health of all living beings. The high level of noise generated by the crackers is cause enormous suffering to birds and animals. Besides, Diwali crackers are dreaded by the ill and the confined to bed.

We hope that this year, there will be an explosion of joy without crackers and pollution.

Installing a New Ceramic Bathroom Shower Tile With Professional Looking Results

The Venetian, Macau

If you follow the necessary steps for tiling a shower, you'll be amazed with the attractive professional looking results you'll end up with. It doesn't matter if you're tiling the walls around a tub enclosure, or a walk in shower, tiling a shower or tub surround is a separate process from tiling other bathroom walls. You'll need to follow different procedures for these extremely wet locations, especially in preparing your shower tile substrate.

Step 1 Choose Your Bathroom Shower Tile
Your bathroom shower tile should be chosen in a style that resonates with your spirit, and generates warm feelings. Simply put your shower should feel like your own private retreat or leave where the days cares can be washed away.

Step 2 Install Your Cement Backer board Wall Tile Underlayment
Choosing your bathroom shower tile can be a little bit of a challenge, but a shower enclosure and a tub surround are both wet installations, so before you install your shower tile you'll need to waterproof the walls and the framing underneath by installing cement backer board sheets to your wall studs.

Step 3 Creating a Shower Niche
Making a shower niche is an excellent choice, especially if you're tearing out your old bathroom tile, cement backer board, and whatever else there is in this area of your bathroom wall to the studs.

Tiling A Shower
There are a few major differences to tiling a shower when compared to installing other bathroom wall tile. The first is you install your bathroom shower tile to a cement backerboard tile underlayment, unlike other bathroom wall tile that can be laid directly to drywall.

Pollution Solution: REUSE, REDUCE, RECYCLE

We think we are an intelligent creature, but what intelligent creature, knowing the role that air plays in our lives keeping us alive and connecting us to the past and into the future, would then proceed to use air as a garbage tin and refuse to pay for putting carbon and all our pollutants into the atmosphere?

We have much to reflect on the way that we use this sacred substance. It hurts me when I see young couples walking with a baby in a stroller and the baby’s nose is right at the level of the exhaust pipes of our cars. You might as well put a hose on the exhaust pipe and pump that stuff right into the baby’s body. We are using the air as a toxic plonk.

We are air. Whatever we do to the air we do to ourselves.

Ceramic Tiles with Matte Finish

Our enormous numbers of ceramic tiles have collective appeal with their aptitude to merge multiple tiles in one form of design. Since glazed ceramic can catch and spread light for a dramatic effect, why not tone the give the impression of being down with matte for a simple striking wall? Look for combinations of spiny flora-line in a variety of colours or sharp pebble mixed with sand glass for extra deepness. Matte ceramic tile design won’t be flashy, but will still draw the eye with the natural variation of the pattern used.

To keep the design look simple, use matte glaze tile over the entirety of the wall. While this may sound busy, the softly shifting colours that is captivating, rather than shiny or glossy light will offer a rich focal point in the kitchen without centre stage.

You can choose variety of Matte Ceramic Tiles from our ShreejiGold jointless wall collection available with indefinite colour variants and custom sizes. No issue what matte tiles are selected, make sure they are pleasant in colour and texture. A simple wall should put in to the rest of the design by adding deepness and delicate interest, not by drawing the eye for its own sake.

Tiles to refresh the atmosphere

What can you do an interior so it looks interesting? Perhaps it is time to replace the tiles.

Wall & floor tiles have certain standards that must be met, particularly with regard to material which combines strength and security. The reason is relatively richer, while the physical do not need more power than the specification of tiles.

Selection problem and design the right size for a wall & floor, there are things that can be followed. First you need to determine what style will be applied in the home. The choice may be classic, modern, ethnic, contemporary or even natural. Based on the selection of this style, you can choose the colour/ design/ purpose of the tiling.

About the size of the tiles, you must also consider the size of the room. The combination of room size and the ceramic must be proportionate. For example, if a very large room chooses pieces with a large, space will also consider wider and pure as the ceramic for a minimum grout.

Choose the tiles that have a slightly rough surface for the rooms that have water i.e. terrace, bathroom, balcony and laundry drying, so as not slippery. Easy maintenance is concerned about the cleaning the pill and dirt, simply does not need to use special cleaning.

Artica now supplies NANO+ polish technology in vitrified tiles

Our Polished Vitrified tile is available mostly in neutral tones. It adds a outstanding complement to more contemporary, 'spick and span' interiors, sometimes sprinkled with either matt or shiny mosaics, an elegant border or an highly distinct response.

Having developed in reputation, vitrified tile technology has seen many developments. First-generation vitrified tiles present a simpler expression, with or without repetitive veins and textural movement. Second-generation tiles are referred to as ‘multi-charged’, offering many more colours with added reflective depth. Third-generation tiles attain an even livelier look, with textural movement running crossways across the face. A more recent introduction is a natural-looking, random vein.

The technology used in each tile can dramatically influence the price. The uncompromising value that SHREEJI Ceramic insists on, however, means you’re assured of the very finest manufacturing processes and finished quality.

Through the latest nano+ polish technology, a nano-level stable protective structure is formed on the surface of this polished vitrified tile. This technology means your tiles will NOT stain and do NOT require sealing. New nano+ polish technology in tiles involves a process that treats the tiles surface to attain a greater shine, an enhancement of the colour and an improved protection against staining and marking. This nano+ polish technology have extensive application, from commercial developments such as shopping centres and retail stores due to the tiles’ hygienic nature and ease of maintenance as well as domestic application owing to the high gloss finish of the tiles.

New Venetian Gold Multi-Charged Vitrified Tiles by Artica™

I am going to start our new design series on multi-charged vitrified tiles for this year by giving you suggestions on how to freshen up the major heart of the home:  the living room.  For those of you who have worked with me in the past, you know that I try to make the design process an pleasurable one, by keeping it as simple and unsophisticated as possible. I am going to start each series with a granite base selection and build upon that with flooring selections and paint colors to coordinate. There will be some sample pictures to direct you to view the products and as normal; I am always available to assist you with any designs questions.
Photo at Hotel Venetian, Macau

One of the most popular and most versatile multi-charged vitrified tiles to work with is New Venetian Gold, or some may simply call it Venetian Gold.  It has a very neutral pallet.  It has the warmer, more golden, neutral tones, with black/grey veining, and random garnet flecks. It is often the choice of home builders or those who plan on selling their homes. Whether you wish to do a total look, or prefer to accent with bolder colors, New Venetian Gold will work well for anyone who likes a warm, impartial base colour. It is expected that the New Venetian Gold series for Multi-Charged vitrified tiles would be available in late 2011.

Ceramic tiles for your Home and Office

Ceramic have been used from centuries by people of different culture and region to embellish in it beautiful works of art. Depending upon the texture, color, design, and pattern, different types.

Ceramic may be either glazed or unglazed, or spongy or waterproof. Glazed types are mostly machine made, and are pressed in a die as well as fired in a kiln, which in twirl provides hard surface and color to the product. Based on the specific purposes, ceramic tiles are further classified into floor products and wall products. As the name indicates, the floor type is a great option to surface floors. Floor tiles are mostly porcelain, and are more durable.

In advance, we have categorized all tiles into some grades. For instance, Grade 1 tiles are best for high traffic areas such as kitchens and laundry rooms. Grade 2 can be used for any home installation. Likewise, Grade 3 is recommended for small as well as medium commercial applications, whereas Grade 4 is usually recommended for such areas as shopping malls and restaurants. Also we have products in order to apply exclusively in areas like gardens and swimming pools.

Size is another thing to be considered. If your room or office is small, it would be better to apply small tiles. Also, while selecting our tile, check whether its texture goes with your room theme. Likewise, during installation process, use such a grout that complements your selected tile.

Smart designs for your space

As a designer, when we place a tile on the sloping in a small space, the eye is drawn outwards to the points, making the space seem a little larger. Smaller tiles are good enough on bathroom floors, but every now and then, individual do not want to be disturbed with grout lines, that can stain (even if preserved, grout gets darker with time), and make the bathroom floor seem grubby.

If we are going to do a regular care in the bathroom, maybe then smaller tiles are most suitable, but not all has an old house, and the look may disrupt a more fashionable design in the bathroom.
Even if you want to take on a tile installation project, it is always possible to consult our Artica creative tile designer’s team.

As a paying customer, or even an implied paying customer, you can get valuable advice from these on-staff tile designers that can save you a ton of misery in the long-run. After all, tile is permanent.

Shreeji ceramic inaugurates new plant at Morbi-India

24th June 2011,

Yet another key achievement has been announced for Shreeji Ceramic group, a long-standing company, described also as India’s advanced ceramic and polished vitrified tile producer. Today the company has successfully inaugurated its all-new plant in Morbi. This plant will allow Shreeji Ceramic to double its output capacity and extend the product range to incorporate larger sizes.

Located next to the existing one, this new plant features the latest machines for multi-charged Vitrified tile. On the pressing side there are two 3rd generation Keda KD4800 presses, equipped with two High-Tech Comettle KM-2F feeders and capable of producing a wide range of sizes (from 605mm x 605mm to 1000mm x 100mm). The Golison, China based company supplied 178-metre kilns are also equipped with energy saving structure which consume less natural gas and electricity. Golison Company has also performed a key role in automatic silo system for storage and transmits of all types of clay between spray-driers to feeders. “Nano+” technology by Keda could be the key feature for our upcoming products in polished vitrified tiles. It offers high dirt and stain resistance making that products longer lasting and maintenance free. Overall plant capacity ranges from 7,000 to 9,500 square metres per day for multi-charged, glazed vitrified and soluble -salt tiles.

This key investment aims to set the industrial standard both locally and nationally. Our aim is to express that, through proper investment in modern technology, even in a country like the India where the economic focus is on the tertiary sector, a manufacturing company can still make a great ‘real economy’ product and do so competitively.

Our Eco-Friendly tiles for green buildings

When it comes to tiling, our ceramic & vitrified tile is a essence of choice for designers and homeowners for not only are they available in an never-ending selection of colors, finishes and designs but are also measured environment friendly. As due to quality maintenance policy, our tiles have long lifespan, which saves time, money, freight and the additional resources that would've been needed to replace a tile.

Apart from durability as tile does not absorb smell or releases chemical in the air this directs to enhance indoor air quality. Also tiles not like wood, carpet or natural stone flooring do not want high safeguarding or chemical protective finishes such as polishing, shampooing or waxing. In fact our higher grade ceramic or vitrified tiles are all made from natural clay generally establish in close proximity to our manufacturing units, reducing damage of natural resources like wood or hard mining for natural stones thereby preserving environment.

Nowadays ceramic tiles are made with lead free glaze finishes that add to its green properties, also our latest innovation in ‘Nano+ Coating’ technology offers high dirt and stain resistance making them longer lasting and low maintenance.

What is required is awareness among end user about the sustainable features that address some of the most current environmental concerns. Indeed with a long lifecycle, natural durability as well as low-maintenance attributes inherent to the material, it is easy to see why tile should be specified as an ideal tiling material in green buildings.

Temperature Regulating Ceramic Tiles

Shreeji Ceramic has come up with eco-friendly ceramic wall tiles which utilize UV rays of the sun for adapting the noxious waste of the environment to nitrogenous nourishment for exteriors.

Presently, Shreeji Ceramic is working for summer concept which stabilizes temperature for interiors. Each tile has three important factors: biological, practical and reassure. We are using special glaze of ‘microspeck’ that continuously maintain the room climate to a most favorable level. Property of these microspecks in discharging and soaking up heat rely upon the ambient temperature keeps the internal cool.

In addition, the temperature regulatory function helps to save environment by reducing energy consumption and carbon emission to a considerable point. So it could cut off the power bills of homes and office buildings and keep the environment safer and cleaner.

50th anniversary of the First Human Spaceflight and the significance of Ceramic in Space Voyage.

To celebrate the 50th anniversary of the first human space flight accomplished on April 12, 1961 by soviet cosmonaut Yuri Gagarin, the Russian Permanent Mission to the United Nations.

Fifty years have passed since that amazing voyage, but the legend of Gagarin’s courage and journey to the ‘final frontier’ continues to be a source of inspiration for space exploration for peoples and nations around the world.
“It’s a symbol of courage, thirst for knowledge and progress”- Churkin
But after each safe and successive voyage from space to earth, ceramic tiles play a major role.

Does anyone know how??
Very weird and wonderful but ceramic tiles are used for space shuttles because during re-entry, a shuttle experiences a large amount of heat on it. The shuttle is also covered with more than 27000 ceramic tiles that keep the Interior of shuttle cool when the outside encounters temperatures on up to 3000 F.
A far cry from the methods of the ceramic artist, the silica fiber High-Temperature Reusable Surface Insulation Tiles or HRSI tiles are made by a laser beam assisted computer controlled machine tool system.
Due to the fibrous structure of the tiles, these tiles are waterproof, stable and very physically tough.

Eventually the color would get faded and it may pull off from any corner or side.

One more benefit of choosing ceramic wall instead of wallpaper is about its care and maintenance. Well there is no vast difference in making floor ceramic and wall ceramic. Both have got same specification in raw material and treatment. That is why ceramic products are always for them who want to see their wall look beautiful for long period of time. It is also very easy to clean with water or adds a little cleaner acid to clean any tuff stain.
Now you have choice to try out with stunning ceramic to change your wall in manifestation, we are sure that the result would not let you down if it is compared with wallpaper. Ceramic wall tile’s quality are always more better and more endurance.

SIMEC™ Vitrified Tiles are an excellent option for your Home

Hardwood floors are attractive, elegant and stylish for your home. Unhappily they are also quite fragile and involve a lot of protection and care to maintain their great looks. If you cannot stand by the time to keep your hardwood floors well cared for, why not adopt SIMEC Vitrified Tiles instead??

Our vitrified tiles are a gorgeous option and these are tougher and harder than hardwood floors. Natural stone could get damaged by wet which is not a dilemma for vitrified tiles.

Now you may think what is Vitrified Tile?
Vitrification is a method that combines 60 percent silica and 40 percent clay mutually to form Vitrified Tiles. The entire process when they are manufactured makes them solid and non-porous. This gives them an added advantage over natural stones like marble that is porous and requires care.

Almost maintenance free, vitrified tile is non abrasive so you can use them in places of high traffic with effortlessness. There is one more chief advantage that our tiles have over other flooring preferences. Most of the designs on the vitrified tiles are printed using soluble salts which are pigments that penetrate the surface to about 2 to3mm of depth. This actually means that the designs on our vitrified tiles are at a depth of 25% of the tiles thickness! We also have SIMEC Multi Charged Vitrified tiles which means micro colored powder is feed inside the tile body not only the surface. Since the tiles are so stiff and non abrasive, the design is almost permanent. Even some of the floor polishes only stay alive on the surface and have nil resistance to abrasion.

soluble salt & multi charge collection
Our Multi Charged Vitrified Tiles are available in variety of shades, more color then you will find in natural stones.

Any change in temperature or moisture does not enlarge or contract our vitrified tiles like it would do a wooden floor. This makes our tiles an application free of any joints. You can fashion uniform joints. You can form uniform gaps with the use of spacers in between the tiles while fixing them and then filling it up with grout. This is recommended when the tiles may have to bear extreme temperatures, hot or cold.

All you need to do to SIMEC™ vitrified tiles in the name of maintenance is sweeping.

Play Safe, Play Natural, Play Holi The Eco-Friendly Way

Have a Joyous HOLI  '11
Idyllically, the festival of Holi is meant for a joyous celebration with carefree attitude. It is done in order to greet the colors of spring. Though, unfortunately the meaning of Holi has not remained the similar in last few decades owing to the ruthless commercialization and source of hazardous Holi products. So, unhappily the modern Holi does not stand for everything beautiful. In fact it has become yet another source of environmental degradation. To de-pollute Holi and evoke in again into an environment friendly fiesta, a lot is required to done.

In this article we have mentioned certain ways in which you can do little steps from your side to change the Holi in your locality into an ECO FRIENDLY HOLI.

  • Environment Friendly Holi

Holi being a social celebration is not limited to one home, so in order to convert it into an environment friendly festival, contribution is required from every family of the society. SHREEJI’s dream of eco friendly and non-hazardous Holi can be true only when every individual who participates in the festival, do maximum efforts from his/her side not to hamper the environment in any way. For this, mass level awareness of people regarding an environment friendly celebration is required. People need to understand that if some little changes in the celebration pattern can bring worth results for the environment, how they can then shift towards the change in the social sector.

  • Eco Friendly Holi Tips

*        Judicious Use of Water

In a situation when most of the Indian cities are facing acute water scarcity, it is obviously a matter of concern that the precious commodity like water is being wasted in such manner during the Holi celebrations. On the day of Holi, people out of enthusiasm and fun saturate each other with buckets of water and children throw water balloons at each other, thus the water that could have used for next few weeks is finished in a day creating more difference in the demand and supply of water. Though, if we just people to celebrate a dry Holi only with ‘Gulal’, it would seem an unfamiliar concept to most of the people. Though this celebration would have been ideal but as most of the people would not agree to it, the judicious use of water on the day is one thing that must be kept in concern if you wish to celebrate an eco friendly Holi.

*        Avoid Using Chemical Colors

In ancient time, the Holi colors were prepared from the flowers of trees like Indian Coral Tree (parijat) and the flame of the Forest (kesu). However, with the influx of dry chemical colors, people stopped taking pence for extracting the flowers colors and with time the use of chemical and aluminum paints increased during the celebrations. These chemical dyes not only prove extremely dangerous to individual’s skin but are also hazardous for environment as lots of pollution is caused during its preparation as well as after their mergence with water cycle.

*        Eco Friendly Bonfire

The burning of fuel wood in order to perform the Holi Bonfire or the Holika Dahan presents is another factor related to Holi that raises a factor of concern. Umpteen useful fuel woods is wasted during this ritual, this not only leads to the cutting of trees but also unnecessary pollution in return. Instead of wooden logs, it would be ideal if people use this Holika Dahan for burning their waste material.

But when there is fun and festivity, it is so easy to get carried away. However, why risk your life and nature for short-lived exhilaration?

With best regards, SHREEJI ceramic wishing you all a joyous and vibrant ecofriendly Holi.

Holi hai!!

Tips: Calculate how much tile you need?

Wall Tiles
Techniques for estimating how many tiles you need are to calculate the height of the wall and the height of your tiles. You can then assess how many tiles will be needed to go up the wall (count half tiles as full ones). Do the same for the width of the wall, then multiply the numbers? This will give you the number of tiles needed to tile the wall you have measured. Work your way around the room and adjust the amount for windows, doorways.

Vitrified Tiles
There are many different types of vitrified tiles available. Vitrified tiles are generally thicker and larger than wall tiles.

One of the easiest methods for estimating how many tiles you need is to measure the floor area in one direction. You can then estimate how many tiles will be needed to go across the floor (count half tiles as full ones). Do the same for the other direction of the floor and the width of the tile. Then multiply the numbers. This will give you the total number of tiles needed to tile the floor area. Purchase some extra tiles to allow for wastage.

*Always purchase your tiles in one batch and work from several boxes to achieve a good blend of shading.
