The Revolution: Colorup Digital Printed Tiles

Everyone now is talking about Digital whether is fabrics, gadgets, pictures or even tiles. ‘Digital’ has not just created impact on our life but has become part of our life. Through ongoing market research and technological development, Shreeji Ceramic has added a digital printing process onto ceramic wall tiles in its COLORUP series. With unlimited design possibilities, sharper finishes and high resolution printing, our digital tiles are now becoming ceramic art for the walls.

But what are Colorup Digital Printed Tiles and how they are different from regular screen printed tiles?

Digital printing is a technology in which printing is directly prepared from computer to any material like paper or tile. Through digital printer we can print all kind of pictures on tiles just like ink-jet printers used in homes and offices for printing documents or photos on paper. In our most modern digital printer from KEDA-teckwin, China, ink gets to the deeper curves and edges without compromising on the resolution of printing and it widen the advantage of having tiles that can replace cladding materials such as stone, glass or metal. Whole digital printing is on CMYK color process. Cyan, Magenta, Yellow and Black shortened as CMYK are combined various ways to produce virtually whichever color required to create any image. Where in the traditional screen printing method, one screen is required for each color and so the number of colors gets restricted.

Digital printer takes very little time to setup a new job where screen printers usually need very long time to setting and starting up again. Also digital printing is environmentally friendly process. The digital printer produces less number of wastage between jobs where screen printing process waste hundreds of the tiles of every job to match preset shades and design pattern. Digital print allows printing only few samples at high resolution which isn’t possible in screen printing for shorter production runs. One of the most advantages in digital printing is less variation in color. Colorup Digital Printed Tiles can assure every print is the same and will be the same when you need more of the same print job. Colorup DPT can offers customers who look for Random-patterns with natural tone variation.

We have a huge repository of digital designs across a wide variety of natural materials like marbles, stones, woods as well as textures. Only at Shreeji Ceramic, customised designs can also be developed and manufactured as per the requirements, subject to certain minimum volumes.

Let’s Colorup

British:
The Brits might have very old and traditional style on their design but with use of modern ease. British baths style includes more natural elements such as wood that can particularly be found on their cabinets and decor items. Other noteworthy features may contain a freestanding bathtub on legs and the overall color and lighting is off-white.
Italian:
The Italians like things to be stylish and luxury, many even wanted their bathroom to be a spa. You can keep wooden furniture and then add in some colors such as maroon, black and gold into the bathroom accessories. To really bring about the Italian impression, you can hang few photographs of Italian attractions.
American:
Take the chief bathroom suite and fixture that you could fit those into your bathroom. Install the biggest, deepest and longest bathtub you could with a powerful shower. In addition you can hang large mirror to complement with, and chrome towel warmers by the wall side or any modern and unadorned theme design for a bathroom is suitable for the American style.
Japanese:
Imagine a bathroom fully equipped with high tech gadgets, all in a minimalist design. You start your day right on the side of your bed with a push of a button to turn on the shower and you just walk in for a bath. Not only does the shower look sleek and stylish, it also has extra jet sprays with massage function. The color of the wall and fixture in the room should probably appear white and light with single dark wall.
Indian:
Like any heritage castles we might have seen, most decors in their luxurious rooms are shimmering glitters. The same goes to Indian style bathrooms. Use bright and striking wall or floors tiles like yellow, pink or blue with gold leaves or flower designs. Fixtures can be a luxurious deep-set bath and a vibrant freestanding sink, with gold fitting taps and finally fill up any free spaces with incense and candles.

These large format rectangular tiles (300x450mm and 300x600mm) can be fitted either in a traditional portrait design or in a landscape layout. Large tiles require less grout lines and they are rectified, which means the edges have been machined to be straight and flat so maintenance is easier.

Every effort has been made to give a true representation of color and appearance in each single tile.

London underground show its sTile

London has been the home of the largest, most extensive decorative tiling project ever undertaken in Britain, The tiling of over 90 tube platforms, and associated passageways, staircases and surface-level booking halls, probably amounted to the largest single creation of decorative art on public display anywhere - and arguably the longest and thinnest art gallery in the world.

The focus of the schemes was the completion of three deep-level tube railways, opened in 1906/7: The Bakerloo, Piccadilly and Northern lines, where about 2 million tiles were used at platform lever for their decoration.

Each station had a unique coloured and pattern along the entire length of its platforms and some of them are reproduced here to give just a small flavour of their impact.

Now is the time to show your sTile with colors that reflect your imagination

Picking tile colors isn’t just easier said than done. It’s terrifying!  If you select colors that are dull and blah, your house would seem flat and uninspired and if the colors you pick are too bold and dark, they might overpower the structural design and upset the neighbours. The best colors will draw attention to the most stunning features of your home. Skilful use of color can even cover design imperfections, boosting the hold back appeal and market value of your residence.

If you are planning to renovate an older home, you will probably want to use a historically accurate color-design or, you can refer to historic color charts from our new Colorup Digital Printed Tiles for Walls and select shades that might have been used at the time your home was built. We have a vast range of Artica Multi-charged Vitrified tiles in Velvet, Crown and Wisdom series that may suit your space, according to your wall paint and building design. We also provide samples on customer request.

By using our colorup Digitally Printed tiles you can now see your imagination of color in front of your eyes and watch your space come alive telling thousand tales.

Infinite color selection and inspired creative natural touch of our Digital printed wall tiles and Multi-charged vitrified tiles collection may persuade you to transform your home with your “inspired creative” thoughts.

It’s time to “show your sTile”

COLORUP DIGITAL PRINTED TILES: this summer let’s colorup your walls

We recognise our responsibility as a good corporate citizen and we take our GREEN COMPANY GREEN EARTH slogan very seriously, so we have invested in the equipment, processes and materials to provide sustainable and environment friendly printing solutions for our customers. Now the bulk of work we can do is printed ‘digitally’, by design so and for good purpose.

This summer, lets experience the magic of colors be it at our homes or workplaces and discover the different walls of colors and how they impact us and add to our happiness. We are all set to bring you ink-jet printed COLORUP Digital Printed Tiles for your walls with myriad range of colors and patterns as per your flavour in various sizes. We have indenture with China’s leading machinery & technology maker KEDA-Teckwin to supply essential equipment and color inks to provide innovative eminence tiles for your walls with care of nature. Digital printing is a computerized process which is less wasteful and less demanding of resources compared to conventional print. Less waste and less consumption equates to a more eco-friendly method of printing. Moreover, digital printing eliminates the use of laboratory check and net screens making, as well as the extensive waste of colors in ‘test printing’ to prepare the machine to run a specific job. With latest digital printing technology there isn’t any ‘test printing’ requires and due to this, it allows us to print much faster and greatly accurate as we insert the data in printing machine.

Talking about the benefits and eco-friendly nature of digital printing is well and good, but it’s a principal element if digital printers make inferior looking products. As we said, we have invested in the equipment, processes and materials to get the job done right. KEDA-Teckwin digital printers use pre-standardised liquid ink which produces the superior quality ‘look and feel’ with 400dpi printing capacity using Build-in five or six colors management software specially developed to ensure smooth color, gradation and assures a true, strong and high contrast color. Another advantage of digital printing is a rare tone variation and non-stop production for different images and size alteration and it can also print Random-Patterns as per the pictures.

We, Shreeji Artica team are very honoured to announce COLORUP Digital Printed Tiles for walls upcoming this summer with state-of-art designs and carefulness towards the environment with ‘Think Digital Act Green’ under Shreeji Ceramic’s GREEN COMPANY GREEN EARTH policy. In the beginning COLORUP Digital Printed Tiles will be available in large sizes only.

Let’s Colorup.

Why does the financial/fiscal year start from 1st April?

The financial year runs from April to March. Companies present their yearly account for the same period. The government also presents its budget for April – March. Even a country’s citizens pay their income tax during April – March. Have you ever thought why the financial year starts from April – March? Why it can’t be modest like January to December?

Wouldn’t it be a lot more convenient if it concurred with the calendar year? Many people don’t resembling to write two years every time they define any particular financial year like 2011 – 12. It isn’t like any law in India only, but there are a lot of countries where the fiscal year is from April to March. Their governments run between April – March. Countries like Canada, United Kingdom, New Zealand, Japan and Hong Kong are also follow the same.
In the book of accounts there is not a single explanation of why the financial year is defined like that but we have noted some may possibly be explanations.

The Income Tax Act
The current income tax act was sanctioned in 1961, and it came into effect from April 1, 1962. This could be the major reason why our financial year begins on April 1.

Leisure Activity
The process of maintaining and preparing accounts and taxes is very time taking. During the year end in month of December there are festivals like Christmas and New Year. This is the time when people do a lot of shopping and spend time with family and friends. In most of the Christian regions have public holidays for a week or more. So it is an obvious thing that no one would love to spend their time doing accounting and documentation work.

Busy Businesses
The end of the calendar year has festivals when people do lots of shopping for themselves and for the dear ones. Due to high demand and supply volume it could be much difficult to maintain the stock lying in warehouses and also for solo owners it is not possible to spare time for accounting work. So, to not load everyone with extra work, the financial year ends in March, when the activity and inventory levels are normal.

British Inheritance
The British followed the April to March system for financial accounting. Also, under the old Julian calendar that Britain followed, April 1st loosely coincided with an Indian month that is considered the New Year in many Indian cultures. India was ruled by the British for a long time, and maybe that’s the reason we follow the same old trend of April – March financial year system,

Agricultural season
India is largely an agrarian economy and the citizen of a large populated country still depends on agriculture. Therefore the accounting system should be in according with the crop pattern. Major crop seasons starts in April. Years before India’s foremost part of taxes were from the agriculture. So the government prepared its annual budget keeping these crop patterns in mind.

While the exact reason remains unknown like the mystery of evolution of mankind, there is no denying the fact that most countries’ financial year differ from the calendar year.

Research and Innovation for Indian tile industry :Shreeji Ceramic Newsletter

Making and selling tiles has never ending era. Indian Tile manufacturers accept that tile usage will continue to enlarge worldwide, although at a slower rate over the next few months. Global tile production has more than doubled every decade. Indian tile manufacturers believe that market will go up over the few years, but few consider a more middle-of-the-road 50 to 75% growth more to be expected. I personally believe there is the need of supplementary promotional advertising for the each tile industry. When asked to Haribhai, head of Shreeji Ceramic, he believes the consumption per individual will not get higher completely without an improved height of industry endorsement, government support, united direction and a nationwide ceramic association that is truly representative of the whole Indian tile industry.

Tile is a fashion industry and is influenced by the age group in which the designers and customers manage to balance the cost and quality with latest novelty items. New products are often determined by advance in innovative technology. The perfection of Multi-charged feeding has revolutionised the beautifying over polished vitrified tiles with infinite shades and color throughout the tile, but does the customer think the finished product is something that they are willing to pay extra? This is a problem facing many tile manufacturers in India. As the tile market grows over the next 5 years, we look forward to see more amounts of change and development, unlike the revolution that came with the beginning of the roller kiln 20 years ago or the digital printing technology which add high revolutionary depth of print and reduce wastage of color and green biscuits due to instantaneous quality. It doesn’t mean that there won’t be advances in products and manufacturing cost.

Latest study by Central Glass and Ceramics Research Institute said that they have invented a new body from Kutch district of Gujarat for Polished Vitrified Tiles which may reduces the production cost by removing Soda and Potash material to 30-40% and still maintain the quality of a tile. Gujarat Granito association has confirmed to implement the new changes in manufacturing process of polished vitrified tile during its last meet at Morbi. Gujarat tile manufacturers are delighted to get the benefit over high cost of Soda and Potash purchase from Rajasthan state. While a standard manufacturing process for tiles has been developed over recent years, utilisation was still needed in terms of labour costs and environmental impact. I believe it would be a fatal mistake to ignore research & development here, due to difficult economy, as equipment manufacturers must continue to offer the market increasingly innovative technological proposals.

Show your Green sTile to the world

Pollution, environment, green house effect, global warming and energy wastage, these all are the prime issues that we keep hearing every often. We have failed to develop as a human being. It’s not about our attitude, habit, background and custom. We have done a lot; in fact we are functioning on this only. But are we missing something? Aren’t we thinking at our forthcoming generation? We have failed to safeguard our future. We don’t see the alerts Mother Nature has been showing at us.

Our discoveries are limitless. We invented so many extra-ordinary items which have brought vast changes to human kind and its living. Now we can touch the heights of cloud by building skyscrapers, we can also generate our own electricity and run hell size machines with a single touch button, even Moon and Mars are not that far anymore. We do whatever we can but do we really think of others living on earth except human kind? You may think for a long to answer this question. In our daily routine we are forgetting our general responsibilities toward nature. As per the today’s lifestyle, it is very important to take strong steps toward our nature. Many of us have started protecting ourselves by taking steps toward making Green Earth but rest of us fail by being an irresponsible. There are plenty who never switch off cars engine at signal or their air condition at our offices and homes. We fail to fill small issues like turning off lights and throw scrap in bins. Let we don’t be mean. Show your humanity to the Earth.

Let’s begin with small easy steps like pull off the electronic devices from the main plug when not in use. Try to avoid using private vehicle when it’s possible and walk to places close at hand. We can also recycle our newspaper and used sheets in many ways. If you are living with a family in a big house, so here we advise you to spend time with everyone in a single room and switch off all electronic devices and lights and please ignore watching television in your room. Make your routine to keep your environment space neat and clean.

What do you think, how and from where we should initiate protecting earth? It’s not like you offer a cheque for the next environmental charity that you see in advertisement. No, this isn’t enough. It wishes you to work out and take immediate actions, no matter how big or little just start it. Do something now!

Celebrate Makar Sankranti Kite Flying Festival in a Safe way

Every January in India, we sacrifice thousands of its birds in the name of entertainment for the excitement of kite-flying. The festival, which is popularly known as "Makar Sankranti". Injuries to birds are mainly caused by glass-coated threads that cut and entangle to cause fractures, wing cuts and nerve injuries, and Makar Sankranti is becoming worse because people are continuing use deadly manja, totally ignoring the harm and pain they cause to birds. Not only is glass-coated manja hazardous for birds, it is also responsible for numerous human injuries and deaths every year, including the deaths of passers-by travelling on open conveyances such as bicycles, motorcycles or scooters. People can help innocent birds by doing the following:

Please think before flying a kite that your fun could severely injure or kill an animal.

Makar Sankranti is about celebrating festival happily with family - it is not about flying kites and endangering the lives of thousands of birds and even human beings.

Happy Sankranti to you and your family.
